#005 – Path to the Gate SOLD

My first mixed media painting. Painted under tuition in Gower at Nicholaston House. The canvas is prepared with tissue paper to create a textured surface. I am pleased with the perspective, warmth in the light in the sky and the form of the hedgerow. The field is rather basic but improved by the real grasses glued and varnished to create the final painting.

Lovely–the grasses ‘glowing’ in the front of this painting is what caught my eye–to get the sun hitting them and so close is a nice surprise! Congratulations on the sale of it!
