#052 – Galaxy CJM01 SOLD

Inspired by watching the night sky for meteors, comets and just to gaze on all that heavenly splendour. I wanted to create a painting to go with the Hampshire open Studios 2017 exhibition and the wall stencil of Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands”. This rendition was a natural extension of the experiment to do night time paintings. The freedom to express subtle coloured glows and then use a splatter technique to build up starscapes was liberating to say the least. I want to be able to create actual night sky scenes as shown by Hubble photographs next.
